Bandai Namco Establishes New Studio for Nintendo Projects

Bandai Namco has recently announced the establishment of a new studio, “Studio 2 & Studio S,” dedicated to working on “commissioned development projects,” particularly Nintendo titles. This move comes after years of collaboration between Bandai Namco and Nintendo on various exclusive games.
The new studio has already had a hand in the development of popular Nintendo games such as Smash Bros., Mario Kart, and ARMS. According to a translated description on the studio’s website, “BANDAI NAMCO Studio 2nd Studio/S Studio has been an in-house studio specializing in commissioned development projects. ‘SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE,’ ‘Mario Kart 8 Deluxe,’ ‘Mario Kart Tour.’ We have cooperated in the development of many world-standard titles.”
The website also indicates that the studio is currently hiring for various roles, including positions for developing “3D action” games with a “side view” perspective, potentially for new or existing intellectual properties.
