Oanh Yen is often mentioned as “the beauty queen with the most children in Vietnam”. Many years ago, she left the entertainment industry and brought her children to live on a farm in Dong Nai.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Oanh Yen said: “During the dry season, my farm often lacks water, affecting life. The water source depends on pumps and filters from drilled wells. Lack of water makes the garden miserable. The trees are barren, we don’t have enough water for daily use, and the children often get sick. After the Lunar New Year, I brought the children back to the city to stabilize their studies and activities.”

The beauty said that recently, she and her children lived at a relative’s house in Thu Duc City. During the day, when her children go to school, Oanh Yen drives back to Dong Nai to continue taking care of and farming on the farm. Even though she traveled nearly 100km every day, she did not find it difficult because she wanted to devote her whole heart to agriculture.

“My house in the city is sold out. Now we are staying at a relative’s house. I brought my children back to the city to settle down with their studies, and I focus on working on a natural agricultural project.

Every day, I take the opportunity to go back and forth between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, not staying in the countryside like before. On the farm, I have to nourish and improve the soil more. It’s hard, but I feel everything is complete,” Oanh Yen confided.

Oanh Yen said that after 4 years of “leaving the city and returning to the forest”, she received many lessons. Because she was determined to pursue her own ideals, she made her children work hard to follow her.

“I adapt well to all situations, so living on a farm doesn’t feel miserable, but my children are different. Neither my paternal nor maternal family wants me or my children to work hard. But because I want to build a project Agriculture follows nature, causing children to suffer.

I feel sorry for my children, because of me they are sometimes pitied. Because of my ideals, you become deprived compared to what you deserve. Therefore, I had to change,” Miss World Global 2015 confided.

However, Oanh Yen affirmed that she still follows the path of farming, despite the difficulties and hardships.

“The ups and downs of life broke my heart. I immersed myself in nature to heal. The journey I took lacked support, so sometimes I felt a little discouraged. But today, I have no regrets.” about this decision. As I told you, success or failure is my responsibility,” she confided.

Oanh Yen said she is taking care of procedures for her children to return to international school. Recently, she and her boyfriend arranged their finances and tried to sell real estate so that their children could have better studying conditions in the city. In addition, the paternal and maternal families also provide monthly financial support to help Oanh Yen raise her children.

Previously in 2020, Oanh Yen brought her three young children to a nearly 10-hectare plot of land in Dong Nai, starting her farming journey. She built the farm according to a self-sufficient model, taking care of the vegetable garden, fish pond, and poultry every day.

In the summer of 2023, due to financial difficulties, Oanh Yen welcomed her three older children to Dong Nai to live together and transferred them to the village school.

In an interview with Dan Tri reporter in July 2023, the 8X beauty queen once shared: “Leaving the city to return to the countryside, I am happy, not sad. In the morning, I feed the chickens, ducks, and pigeons while the housekeeper goes to pick leaves, make tea and water for the whole family to drink. I mainly eat clean fruits and vegetables, eat fish, not meat.

I can survive anywhere. My opinion is that if you live your life just trying to make money, you won’t add any value to your life. In the future, I won’t need a house. Someday I will build a hammock tent and live with nature.”
