Mirpur: Bangladesh’s batting collapsed in the second Test against Sri Lanka. At stumps on the fourth day, Bangladesh were 34 for four in the second innings. With six wickets left in the day, they need 107 more runs to catch up with Sri Lanka. Mushfiqur Rahim (14) and Litton Das (1) are at the crease.

Mohammadul Hasan Joy (15), Tamim Iqbal (0), Najmul Hossain Shanto (2) and skipper Mominul Haq (0) were out. For Sri Lanka, Ashita Fernando took two wickets and Kasun Rajitha one. Najmul Hossain was run out. Sri Lanka ended the first innings with 506 runs. Former skipper Angelo Mathews (145 not out off 342 balls with two sixes and 12 fours) and Dinesh Chandimal (129 off 219 balls with one six and 11 fours) were the top scorers for Sri Lanka.

Oshada Fernando (57), skipper and opener Dimuth Karunaratne (80) and Dhananjaya de Silva (58 off 95 balls with nine fours) hit half-centuries. For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan took five wickets for 96 runs and Ibadat Hossain took four wickets for 148 runs. Bangladesh scored 365 in the first innings.
