Bárbara Tinoco’s separation from the religious path chosen by her parents: “I felt like I was already lying to everyone”

The singer’s religious education was one of the topics of the interview on ALTA DEFINIAÇÃO. She grew up linked to the “Neocatechumenal Way”, a religious path that she decided to abandon when she was around 16 years old, as she no longer identified herself.

“It wasn’t a particularly easy thing for my parents to accept”

He confesses that he could no longer live contrary to what he was supposed to believe. She recalls that at an early stage in her career she was afraid of writing lyrics that could be “less religious”.

“My parents had to accept me and I had to accept my parents exactly as they are”
