The midfielders suffer an injury to the rectus femoris of the right leg and a sprain to the external lateral ligament of the right ankle, respectively, as reported this Monday by the Catalan club’s medical services.
Both were injured in the LaLiga match that the Barça team played on Sunday in San Mamés against Athletic Club and which ended in a goalless draw.
The Catalan club does not report in its statements the time of absence of either of the two players.
However, coach Xavi Hernández said after the game that they were two serious injuries and that they would miss several games.
