Bayer in the crossroads over the herbicide glyphosate or the contraceptive Essure

The European Commission has announced that it approves the use of the controversial chemical substance, herbicide glyphosate, throughout the European Union for another decade. It will be ten more years of spreading the toxic danger through parks and gardens, in addition to its agricultural use, the most widespread, of course.

Three victims received a total of 61.1 million dollars in compensatory damages and $500 million each in punitive damages. Each was diagnosed non-Hodgkin lymphoma which they alleged was caused by the use of Roundup on their family’s property.

Bayer has a serious problem with this because they have presented around 165,000 claims against the company for personal injuries allegedly caused by Roundup.

And the German firm spends a million dollars each year on lawsuits due to the harmfulness of its products. It would be very extensive to cite the black history of Bayer in relation to its damage to people’s health, whether caused by its pesticidesas for their medicines and health products.
