The military reporter Yossi Yehoshua attacked on Twitter the chairman of the Otzma Yehudit MK Itamar Ben Gabir for a conversation he had with an MGB officer who neutralized a terrorist and prevented an attack.
“The designated Minister of National Security, Ben Gabir, spoke with an MGB officer from the incident in Hawara and published a backup message. He acted contrary to accepted procedures and did not contact the MGB commander or the Merhav commander to get permission, and put the chain of command in an embarrassment,” wrote Yehoshua.
Ben Gvir replied to him: “What is important is not the accepted procedures, but to back up our fighters – which Omar Bar Lev did not bother to do. By the way – it’s a shame you didn’t check before, you would have found that my conversation was done in coordination with all the relevant parties, and no one complied with any Embarrassment.
