Several members of the famous musical group “Bi-2”, together with members of their families, applied for citizenship of the Republic of Moldova. This information was confirmed by the head of the office of the President of Moldova, Adrian Balutel.

Bi-2 media director Igor Rubinstein spoke about this in the “Verstka” telegram channel.

In his Telegram channel, the head of the cabinet, Maia Sandu, emphasized the hospitality of his country and expressed his readiness to help everyone who strives for peace and security.

The motivation of the Bi-2 members and their families to request Moldovan citizenship is related to the repression that allegedly began after the musicians expressed their position against the war that broke out in Ukraine. The Moldovan authorities expressed their readiness to support those who stand for peace and are ready to provide citizenship in the interests of the country.

Igor Rubinstein, media director of Bi-2, confirmed that requests for Moldovan citizenship were submitted by both musicians and members of the group’s technical and management staff, as well as their families. He noted that they addressed the President of Moldova with a request, which is being considered in accordance with the legislation of the republic.

Earlier, Kursor wrote that BI-2 revealed details of their stay in a Thai prison. The published materials raised important issues regarding prison conditions.

“Kursor” also wrote that “Bi-2” told whether they would play a concert for the IDF. According to the Bi-2 soloist, some musicians need help in finding a “fulcrum.”
