The Civil Police carried out an operation, in partnership with Gaeco (Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime) of the MP-RJ (Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro), to carry out search and seizure warrants at addresses related to the bookie Rogério Andrade .
The action is carried out in Rio, Angra dos Reis and Bahia and seeks to comply with 25 warrants, in addition to blocking R$ 40 million in goods and values.
According to the police, the investigative work that lasted four years proved that the lawful income of those being investigated is not compatible with the assets acquired. The inquiry was launched in 2018 and concluded in 2022, with the indictment of those involved in the crimes of money laundering and criminal organization.
In the action, investments, bank accounts, real estate, vessels, land, sites, commercial rooms and other items are targets for the seizure of assets. Among them is a yacht valued at BRL 10 million, purchased in 2015.
