US President Joe Biden is narrowly ahead of former President Donald Trump, according to data from a new Quinnipiac University poll, Day.Az reports citing Interfax.

According to him, Biden has the support of 48% of voters, and Trump – 45%.

Meanwhile, when the poll expands to include independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and third-party candidates Jill Stein and Cornel West, Trump leads Biden 39% to 38%.

According to polling data, Kennedy Jr. is supported by 13% of voters, Stein – 4%, West – 3%.

Earlier, the former US President said that Kennedy Jr.’s participation in the election race would have a positive effect on the prospects of the Republican Party.

“Kennedy Jr. is the most left-wing candidate in the race. (…) I think this means that he will lure part of the electorate away from crooked Joe Biden, which will be a great service to America,” The Hill quotes excerpts from Trump’s statement on his social network Truth Social.

“This plays into the hands of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement,” said the former US president.

The survey was conducted among 1,407 registered voters across the country from March 21 to 25. The margin of error was 2.6 percentage points.
