Billie Eilish gave a candid interview to Rolling Stone magazine and talked about everything.
In the interview, 22-year-old Billie Elish spoke about her sexuality and why she originally intended not to talk about it. Speaking to the reporter about the sexual nature of the song Lunch, which will feature on her upcoming album Hit Me Hard and Soft, Eilish explained that it was part of her journey of self-awareness. “That song was actually part of what helped me become who I am, to be real,” she said, referring to her sexuality. “I wrote part of it before I even did anything with a girl and wrote the rest after.”

Eilish continued: “I’ve been in love with girls all my life, but I just didn’t understand – until last year, I realized I wanted my face on a trick.” However, the artist never intended to discuss her sexuality with the public. “It’s really disappointing to me that it came up,” Eilish told the outlet, referring to her outing to Variety in December.
“The whole world suddenly decided who I was, and I didn’t have the ability to say anything or control any of it,” Eilish recalled of that time. “No one should be forced to be one or the other, and I think there are a lot of people who want to be labeled everywhere.” He went on to say, “Man, I’ve met people who don’t know their sexuality or feel comfortable with it until they’re in their forties, fifties, sixties. It takes a while to find yourself and I think it’s really unfair the way the internet intimidates you into talking about who you are and what you’re about.” Also, Eilish added that she is “just discovering” her sexuality.
In early April the pop star announced that her third album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. will be released on May 17, and instead of releasing several singles before the album, as she had done with the previous two, Eilish announced that all 10 songs will be released at the same time.
