CriptoFácil – Binance announced a partnership with Coursera, one of the world’s leading online learning platforms, to offer educational opportunities around the world with a broad program to be launched in the coming months.

According to the company, the contents will cover several topics, including basic concepts about blockchain, Web3 and cryptocurrencies. Additionally, it will focus on those who want to develop the right skills to pursue a career in the industry.

Upon successfully completing courses, students will receive a digital certificate of completion. The courses will also be made available to Brazilian users.

“Education is the foundation of progress and innovation. Together, we are combining the strengths of two industry leaders with a shared vision – providing the best education to drive adoption and build the foundation for Web3,” said Yi He, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer at Binance.

Organizations that are harnessing the potential of blockchain have been experiencing a wave of growth. According to PWC’s “Time for trust” report, this technology is set to generate more than 40 million jobs worldwide by 2030.

The demand for professionals in the crypto and blockchain industry is already increasing rapidly. According to a report by DevSkiller, which compiles over 200,000 skill assessments, the need for blockchain programming training increased by 552% in 2022.

“Learning about blockchain, Web3 and crypto assets is more important than ever as a variety of new and exciting job opportunities emerge in these areas,” said Marni Baker Stein, Director of Content at Coursera.

Programs will be developed by Binance Academy experts. Each program will consist of multiple courses and will include video lectures, readings, hands-on assessments or projects and level assessments.

Recent research by Durlston Partners revealed that DeFi developer base salaries have remained constant throughout 2021 and 2022, with median salaries reported for each quarter ranging from approximately $531k to $664k annually.

However, Durlston saw a significant increase in wages during the fourth quarter of 2022, rising to an average of $754k, showing a positive trend for DeFi in 2023.
