The young man said he stole the remains of his ex-girlfriend’s mother to sell them in exchange for drugs. However, it is still unclear why he thought he would get money or drugs in exchange for the ashes.
According to a report in the Daily Star newspaper, the man who stole the remains of his ex-girlfriend’s mother was named Jackson. He was 19. Jackson called his ex-girlfriend at 5:40 a.m. and told her he had stolen her mother’s remains. The incident took place in South Carolina, USA.
After this, the shocked woman informed the police. It is noteworthy that the police are also shocked after the incident of theft of ashes by the youth was exposed. A police officer said that this is the first time in his long service that he has heard about the theft of ashes.
