Chennai: The BJP has announced that it has formed an alliance with the BJP for the Lok Sabha elections. The BJP has agreed to give 10 seats and one Rajya Sabha seat to the BJP. The agreement will be signed today.

AIADMK and BJP have made serious efforts to include BAM, which has a significant vote bank in the northern districts of Tamil Nadu, in their alliance. AIADMK ex-ministers held talks with the BJP and promised to give 7 constituencies and one Rajya Sabha seat like last time.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leaders VK Singh, Kishan Reddy and others who held talks with Anbumani assured that they will give 10 constituencies and one Rajya Sabha member post and after the re-establishment of the government, they will discuss and decide on the post of Union Minister.

As negotiations were held on both sides, it was highly anticipated which side the party would move to.

In this case, a high-level committee meeting of BAMA was held last evening at Tindivanam Thailapuram garden to take a final decision on the alliance. President Anbumani, Honorary President GK Mani, General Secretary Vadivel Ravanan, Treasurer Thilakapama, Northern Zone Joint General Secretary AK Murthy, Advocate K. Balu and other administrators participated in the meeting led by party founder Ramadoss.

In this, after serious deliberation, it was decided to form an alliance with the BJP and face the Lok Sabha elections. It is noteworthy that earlier, BJP senior officials VK Singh and Kishan Reddy spoke to Ramdas and Anbumani in a video.

At the end of the meeting, General Secretary Vadivel Ravanan said to the press: “For the future benefit of the party, the party is going to face this election with an alliance for better functioning and on the basis that the party should win in this election.” Party founder Ramadoss was given the power to make an official announcement about the alliance at the general body meeting last February.

Based on his announcement, the BMC has decided to ally with the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The agreement in this regard is signed on 19th (today). Which constituencies are allotted to Bamako and who are the candidates will be announced in a day or two. This is what he said.

Anbumani will also participate in the campaign rally attended by Prime Minister Modi today in Salem, with the BJP-CMA alliance firmly in place.
