BJP targets film stars in Tamil Nadu for Lok Sabha elections: Radhika to contest against Kanimozhi?

by time news

BJP seems to be casting a net for screen stars to contest in Tamil Nadu. Thoothukudi DMK MP Attempts are being made to field actress Radhika against Kanimozhi. Parliamentary Lok Sabha election notification will be released this afternoon.

BJP is serious about getting 400 seats somehow in this election. The situation is that 400 can be reached only if the southern states including Tamil Nadu get significant seats. For this, BJP is very careful in selecting its candidates.

In this, it has decided to give more importance to people who are popular among the people. In this, mainly film stars are present. If they are given a chance, the BJP expects that the surrounding constituencies will also benefit. Therefore, the national leadership of BJP has instructed its Tamil Nadu unit to make film industry celebrities compete in Tamil Nadu as well.

A source of BJP’s national leaders told the daily ‘Hindu Tamil Vektik’ about this, “In the background of joining the All India Equality People’s Party, there is also an intention to make Radhika contest in our party. DMK MP in Thoothukudi defeated Smriti Irani in Amethi and defeated Rahul Gandhi. The party wants to defeat Kanimozhi.

But Radhika wants to contest in Virudhunagar. Talks are also on with a couple of screen stars. Prominent Tamil film industry is also going to be involved in the election campaign,” they said.

In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered an election campaign speech in Kanyakumari yesterday. After his speech, Radhika and Sarathkumar met PM Modi on stage.

KS Radhakrishnan, KM Radhakrishnan and Sasikala Pushpa are also on the list of BJP’s proposed candidates for Thoothukudi. If Radhika does not contest, KS Radhakrishnan, who was a key leader in DMK and Madhyamik, has more chances.

Allies: Negotiations in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in Tamil Nadu are nearing completion. Block allotment for them is announced anytime. The BJP has also urged its allies to field strong candidates. Accepting this, the alliance parties are also preparing their list of candidates along with the BJP.

According to information received in this regard, Dhinakaran, the president of BJP’s ally Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam, is trying to contest from either Theni or Sivagangai. In addition, Thanjavur constituency is also likely to be available to Dhinakaran’s party. Dhinakaran wants to compete in these under his Cooker symbol.

Sasikala’s team is also expected to compete with him. The OPS team and other allied parties are likely to contest on the BJP’s lotus symbol. Dhinakaran has targeted Theni as MP from that constituency. OPS There is an opinion that Rabindranath will move to Ramanathapuram.

AC Shanmugam of the New Justice Party is contesting in Vellore and DR Parivendar of the Indian Democratic Party is contesting in Perambalur on the lotus symbol. Old ally, the Tamil State Congress wants to contest on its bicycle symbol. The Madras High Court case on this was closed recently.
