Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has commented that BNP has stood against the religious values and sentiments of the people by announcing the continuation of the program in the month of Ramadan. In a statement on Tuesday (March 12), he said that their program will cause public suffering during Ramadan.
Obaidul Quader condemned and protested the statements and lies of BNP leaders in the statement.
General secretary of Awami League said that Ramadan is the month of moderation. BNP leaders are talking about continuing their political program in this month as well. BNP stands against the religious values and sentiments of the people by announcing to continue the program in the month of Ramadan. Their program will create public suffering during Ramadan.
BNP does not want to allow the people of the country to be at ease in any way, complained the general secretary of Awami League.
He said, ‘They have been threatening to destroy the country’s constitutional and democratic system in the name of their so-called anti-government movement for more than a century. But, people never responded to their call. Rather, they have been repeatedly rejected by the public. As a result, BNP has failed to show any form of mass participation through the so-called movement.’
BNP has always been doing politics from an anti-people position, commented Obaidul Quader, saying that it is never possible for BNP to build a mass movement.
In the statement, Awami League General Secretary said, BNP leaders and activists are indirectly talking about imprisonment. They cannot move easily. But they are regularly lying against the government, warning the government loudly. In fact, BNP leaders and workers are trapped in the sands of error, trapped in the frame of wrong politics.
‘They are enslaved by the leadership of murderer, corrupt, money launderer Tariq Rahman. They will not be freed from this captivity unless the awakening of good intellect or conscience is awakened. Under the illusion of being in captivity, they are trying to shift the responsibility of their captivity to the government.’
The Awami League government under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina is working for the welfare of the people, Obaidul Quader said that the government is working in all possible ways so that the people do not suffer during the month of Ramadan. Bangladesh Awami League has always been and will always be with the people.
