BNP stands by the victims in the Jhilpar slum of Pallabi police station in the capital.

On Tuesday (February 27), Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP member secretary Aminul Haque distributed relief materials and provided financial assistance on behalf of the acting chairman of the party, Tariq Rahman.

At that time, Aminul Haque said, BNP is the party of the people. Their politics is for common people. When one party is plotting to dissolve the entire state, BNP is relentlessly sacrificing its life to protect freedom-sovereignty like a night watchman. People are protesting in the streets to ensure their right to vote, freedom of speech and right to live.

He said, in that movement, the vast masses of the country are taking it forward from the side with genuine support and courage. Which was reflected in the January 7 elections. No one went to vote despite various threats and temptations of the government. Taking these people with them, their ongoing movement will be ultimately successful.

At that time, the leaders and activists of the local BNP, Chhatra Dal, Youth Dal, Svechasevak Dal and other organizations of Rupargar-Pallabi area were present.

It is to be noted that on February 18, more than two hundred families were injured in the fire in Jhilpar Basti of Pallabir.
