Booba Universe Expands with New Season and Characters, Set for Disney+ Launch in 2026

A new chapter is unfolding for the globally popular, non-dialog animated series Booba, with a sixth season—titled Booba and Loola—greenlit for production and slated to premiere on Disney+ in early 2026. The continuation of the series, produced by 3D Sparrow and distributed by Kedoo Entertainment, signals a significant expansion of the Booba franchise.

A Fresh Dynamic for a Global Phenomenon

The upcoming season represents a major evolution for Booba, introducing Loola, the first female lead character in the series’ history. According to producers, Loola embodies confidence, bravery, and wit, promising a “fresh dynamic and stronger gender balance” to the storytelling. This addition aims to broaden the appeal of the show and resonate with a wider audience.

Alongside Loola, Booba and Loola will also feature Tiny Booba, a mischievous miniature version of the beloved character. The design of Tiny Booba, inspired by existing series tropes, has been specifically tailored to appeal to viewers in Asia markets.

Expanding Distribution and Continued Success

Kedoo Entertainment will oversee international distribution of the new season, building on the existing success of Booba. The series has already garnered over 22 billion views and 20 million subscribers on YouTube, demonstrating its widespread appeal.

Disney+ has secured exclusive rights to air Booba and Loola across a significant portion of Europe, including the Benelux region, the Balkans, France, Greece, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Italy, the Nordics, the Baltics, Portugal, Spain, and the UK.

Beyond Disney+, Booba has found a home on major streaming platforms such as Netflix—where it has ranked among the top ten animated titles and a top-rated comedy show—as well as HBO Max, Prime Video, and Starzplay in various territories. The series has also been licensed to television channels in over 45 countries.

Digital-First Content Drives Global Engagement

“Booba’s phenomenal success proves how digital-first content can spark worldwide engagement and growth,” stated a company release from Kedoo Entertainment. “The arrival of Loola and Tiny Booba unlocks exciting new character development and audience connections.”

Targeted towards children aged 2-8, Booba subtly incorporates educational values centered around resilience and empathy. The continued expansion of the Booba universe underscores the enduring power of engaging, non-dialog content in a global market.
