Doha: The number of people receiving the booster dose of the covid vaccine in Qatar has exceeded one million, according to the Ministry of Public Health. As of Friday, 1,022,567 people had received the booster dose.
The Ministry of Public Health said on Twitter that the booster dose was available to anyone 12 years of age and six months after receiving the second dose of Kovid Wax. The ministry said booster doses were available at 28 health centers of the Primary Health Care Corporation and at the Lucille Drive Through Centers and the Qatar Vaccination Center for Business and Industry.

Doha: The Interior Ministry continues to step up action against those violating Kovid restrictions in Qatar. Another 723 people were arrested on Friday for violating the law, officials said. Of these, 504 were prosecuted for not wearing masks.

Authorities have so far arrested thousands of people and handed them over to the prosecution for further action, the health ministry said in a statement.
