In solidarity with the dynamic of reconquest of the national territory, the inmates of the Boromo remand and correction center (MACB) made a financial contribution of 85 thousand FCFA. The receipt for their donation was presented to the High Commissioner of the Balé province, Ibrahim Boly.
In the presence of the director of the detention center, the main penitentiary security inspector, Adama Sanon, the detainees also expressed their desire to join the ranks of the VDP if they obtain authorizations.
In reaction, Inspector Sanou congratulated the residents for the patriotic gesture in favor of the defense and security forces and the volunteers for the defense of the homeland, despite their difficult condition.
Likewise, the Balé High Commissioner, Ibrahim Boly, praised the prisoners for their gesture which demonstrates their awareness of the country’s issues. For him, this initiative must appeal to Burkinabés living freely and who have not yet contributed to the patriotic support fund. The general secretary of the province, Salimata Ouédraogo, the prefect of Boromo Esaïe Bamogo and several MACB officials attended the delivery of the receipt.
In February 2023, residents of the civilian prisons of Ziniaré and Kongoussi contributed 68 thousand to the Patriotic Support Fund set up to mainly support volunteers for the defense of the homeland.
