Adrián Mifkovič, president of the Fire and Rescue Service, cautioned that passengers may experience discomfort, especially in the cervical spine area, due to the physical forces involved in a sudden stop.
“Due to the physical phenomenon when the train, or vehicle, stops, these problems may occur tommorow morning as well,” a senior fire department official stated during a briefing at the scene.

After receiving initial treatment, remaining passengers were transported to Bratislava via fire brigade and public transport buses. Authorities are providing support and assistance to those affected by the incident.
“There were no deaths, which is, of course, positive news when we saw how things look at the scene of the accident,” the interior minister said, expressing gratitude to all the rescue services, firefighters, police officers, and railway employees involved in the response. Injured passengers are primarily suffering from fractures and bruises.
The minister concluded with a message of hope, stating, “In this way, I would like to express my sincere wish for the earliest possible recovery of the injured.” (TASR)
