A policeman who was caught by vigilance for taking bribe tried to escape by swallowing the bribe money. The incident took place in Faridabad, Haryana. Mahendra Ula, a policeman who is a sub-inspector, took the bribe in the cattle theft case.
When the vigilance came to know about the information, he tried to escape by swallowing the bribe money. The video of this is widely circulated on social media. The video also shows the vigilance officers trying to take money by putting their hands in the policeman’s mouth.
He demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the owner of the buffalo, Shubhanath, to take the accused into custody in connection with the cattle theft case. He had already paid a bribe of Rs 6000 and informed the vigilance before paying the remaining amount.
