New life, old man chaos
The trailer also shows sequences from Bridget’s new life and everyday life as a widow and mother. Since Mark died four years ago, she has been looking after nine-year-old Billy and four-year-old Mabel alone. She raises her two children with the support of her loyal friends - including her ex-boyfriend Daniel, now “Uncle Daniel”, Cleaver (Hugh Grant, 64).
According to the preview, during a boozy cocktail evening, her friends and later even her gynecologist Dr. Rawlings (Emma Thompson, 65) tells Bridget that she needs to get back to her husband and suggests the dating platform Tinder. Shortly after, a 29-year-old woman (“The White Lotus” star Leo Woodall, 28) piqued his interest after a near-climbing accident in the park.
But Bridget Jones wouldn’t be Bridget Jones if there weren’t another opponent: her son’s science teacher (Chiwetel Ejiofor, 47).
“Crazy About Him” is based on the third novel in the “Bridget Jones” book series by Helen Fielding (66).
