J-Hope of the global super group ‘BTS’ pointed out the meaning of ‘dance’.

According to his agency Big Hit Music on the 28th, J-Hope released the first episode of ‘HOPE ON THE STREET’ on the online video service (OTT) Tving and Prime Video.

In the video, J-Hope said, “I kept asking myself what it was that ultimately brought me to this point. He explained the reason for planning the series, saying, “The result was unconditionally dancing.” J-Hope confessed the pressure he felt while preparing the documentary and the moment he encountered a limit. He recalled the Osaka, Japan episode and said, “As the person leading the content, there was a psychological burden and pressure of ‘I can’t do it if I can’t do it.’”

The New York, USA episode was chosen as an unforgettable episode. “Honestly, I was confident in hip-hop, but for the first time in my life, I felt like I couldn’t follow it,” he said, adding to the curiosity about the episode. J-Hope put his sincerity about dance into this documentary series, to the point where he actively expressed his opinions from the planning stage. He mentioned the point of directing, “The atmosphere of the dance changes depending on the music, the styling, and the angle from which it is shown.”

Before embarking on a full-fledged dance exploration, J-Hope performed a freestyle dance to the first track ‘on the street’ (solo version) of the special album ‘HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1’, which will be released on the 29th. J-Hope said, “I started working on this song with the thought that it would express me as I am and capture my thoughts and feelings about the street.” He added, “It is the song that opens the door to ‘HOPE ON THE STREET.’ “It became a song,” he said about the work.

The content of each episode of the documentary will be closely linked to the messages and musical aspects of the songs included in the special album, adding to the fun of watching.

‘Hope on the Street’ is a dance documentary series that depicts the time J-Hope travels to Osaka, Japan, Paris, France, New York, USA, and Seoul and Gwangju, Korea, and communicates through dance with dancers of various genres active there. New episodes are released every Thursday and Friday at midnight on TV and Prime Video.
