A police patrol car responding to a reported altercation crashed with a public bus in Trondheim, Norway, on Thursday. Fortunately, authorities confirm no injuries were sustained by passengers on the bus, though the patrol vehicle sustained meaningful damage and is not operational.

The collision occurred in Fjordgata as the patrol was traveling to St. Olavs gate,where a disturbance involving multiple individuals was unfolding. According to a senior official with the Trøndelag police, both a bus and the patrol car require recovery and salvage operations.
“There has been a strong clash,” reported a freelancer on the scene to VG, detailing that airbags deployed within the police vehicle and a hole was visible in the side of the bus. While traffic is flowing, albeit with some disruption, other buses are being rerouted to avoid the area.
The extent of the damage to the police car is considerable. According to NTB,the vehicle is not drivable. A duty manager at the 110 central confirmed to local media that there is some damage to the police car, but reiterated that no one was injured in the accident.
