The commemorative ceremony of the 12th edition of the Burkinabè Quality Prize (PQB) and the 33rd edition of the National Quality Days (JNQ) ended on Friday October 6, 2023 in Bobo-Dioulasso. Chaired by the Prime Minister, Me Apollinaire Kyelem de Tambela, the event was marked by the awarding of prizes to deserving companies.

The 12th edition of the Burkinabè Quality Prize (PBQ) coupled with the 33rd edition of the National Quality Days (JNQ) was celebrated under the theme “Risk management and business continuity for economic resilience “.

“Satisfied” with the success of the event despite the difficulties, the president of the Organizing Committee Fidèle Ilboudo presented the recommendations resulting from the panels. Among other things, “the appropriation and implementation of ISO 31.000 and 22.301 standards by public and private structures; the establishment of a risk management plan in Burkina Faso; the development of resilience through the implementation of risk matrices and the business continuity plan and the development of foresight in order to anticipate and project and explore the future.

Improved productivity

According to the Minister of Industrial Development, Trade, Crafts, Small and Medium Enterprises Serge Gnaniodem Poda, the Burkinabè Quality Prize was established by the government to encourage production organizations to put quality at the heart of their activities to improve their productivity. “Tonight, we have the opportunity to celebrate the best of them, these are those who have distinguished themselves by implementing, formally or informally, quality management systems,” he said.

The best of the day are, among others, BUTEC Energies et Services Burkina in the medium-sized enterprise category, the Cotton Fiber Technology Laboratory in the small enterprise category and Inno Faso SA in the large enterprise category which won the “Diamond Prize” . The 2023 edition also recognized the merits of several natural and legal persons through certificates of recognition and certificates of thanks.
