The main character is Luigi Talarico, 41 in a few weeks. He got married five years ago and has two children, a four-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl. He has chosen to lead the civic list “We are Simeri Crichi” in a difficult reality, also considering the latest investigations that led to the arrest of a councilor in office and the establishment of an access commission for the verification of possible mafia infiltrations.
With respect to the reaction of the population, which is made up of its former parishioners, T.alaric does not consider “the inhabitants of this country as former parishioners. I see them as brothers and friends to whom I wish to offer a service of public utility. They see me as a brother and friend who wants to take an interest in them. They see me only as someone who intends to take care of their life – he declared – so that I can pass in justice, according to the universal law of the common good and the greater good. It is not a question of religious problems or problems of faith, but questions of justice, responsibility, commitment, the search for the greatest good, dedication so that no one feels defrauded of his humanity ”.
