The governor of the US state has announced cameras for all subway cars after concerns about increased violence on the New York City subway. In total, all 6,400 subway cars are to be equipped with two cameras each by 2025, as Kathy Hochul from the Democratic Party said in New York on Tuesday. The measure costs around 5.5 million dollars. More than 10,000 cameras are already installed in the 472 stations of the subway network.
