BOLZANO. Il Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security approved the projects of installation and implementation of video surveillance systems presented by the Municipalities of Laives, Egna, Castelrotto, Cornedo all’Isarco, Vadena, San Martino in Badia, Marlengo and Magrè on the Wine Route. The projects are accompanied, explains a note, come on pacts for urban safety already signed with the mayors of the Municipalities involved and with the favorable opinion of the telecommunications section of the state police.
The government commissionerate, Vito Cusumano, will forward them to the Ministry of the Interior for the disbursement of funding on the basis of a national ranking. During the meeting, the note adds, “the importance of continuing to create a complex video surveillance network at provincial level was reiterated – already active in 53 municipalities in Alto Adige – capable of strengthening prevention and combating crime phenomena as well as urban decay”.
