Trail signs are also being created and will be placed at key points and crossroads in the coming months, ensuring visitors can easily follow the “mermaid’s tracks.” Thes enhancements aim to make the route more accessible to both locals and tourists, strengthening the cultural and landscape identity of Carrara and its surrounding villages.
The initiative isn’t limited to Carrara. A similar project, the ‘Camino del Frigido,’ is taking shape in the neighboring town of Massa. Institutions and organizations involved recently signed a founding protocol, paving the way for a complementary development path.
