Bad luck, you have the typical profile of the victim of vehicle theft in 2023, according to statistics from Argos, the group of insurers responsible for improving their identification and restitution. But don’t panic, there are some simple tips to follow to reduce the risk.
Avoid parking in dark corners
Firstly, common sense rules recommended by insurers. If you have to park your vehicle on public roads, choose busy, lit streets. Or, even better, areas equipped with video surveillance cameras.
Certified anti-theft devices or steering wheel locks
Among the devices that slow down thieves, we find for two-wheelers SRA certified locks which resist for a certain period of time to sawing, twisting or picking the lock. For cars, there is also the steering wheel lock, the first prices of which are around thirty euros: visible, and therefore dissuasive, but cumbersome to put in place each time you park.
Window etching
