Popular children’s book writer Casey Mclntyre (†38) has died. The young mother fought an insidious cancer for eight years. In the last moments of her life, she wrote a heart-wrenching message for her family and friends, which she shared on social media. In it, she announced her own death.
On Tuesday, November 16, a shocking post appeared on the popular children’s writer’s social network. In it, Casey McIntyre announced to all her loved ones and fans that she had died. The mother of a little girl who suffered from insidious cancer wrote a touching post on her deathbed, writes the American The New York Post.
Casey battled malignant ovarian cancer for eight years. In 2020, she underwent a difficult operation in which doctors tried to remove everything affected by the disease. They had to remove part of her spleen, liver and lungs. During the strenuous chemotherapy treatment, she was still undergoing artificial insemination. In 2022, she and her husband Andrew welcomed their long-awaited daughter Grace (18 months) into the world. But she lost her battle with cancer. The writer died on Sunday, November 14. Two days later, an announcement of her death appeared on her Instagram, which she wrote herself on her deathbed.
“If you’re reading this, it means I died,” her devastating Instagram post began. “I loved each of you with all my heart and I promise you that I knew how deeply I was loved,” she went on to add that the last five months she spent at home hospice with her family and friends had been truly “magical”.
