World Glaucoma Week takes place from March 10 to 16, 2024. Chronic eye disease due to damage to the optic nerve, it can lead to visual impairment up to blindness. For its part, cataracts are characterized by a veil of opacity on the lens leading to a progressive reduction in vision. According to the WHO, at least 2.2 billion people worldwide would suffer from partial or total visual impairment in 2019. At least one billion of these cases could have been or could be treated.
