Ceará draws at the end and Fortaleza loses away from home in the Copa do Nordeste

This Sunday, Ceará e Fortaleza entered the field in the second round of the Copa do Nordeste. Vozão drew 1-1 with Altos, at home. Leão was defeated by CRB 1-0, away from home.

Ceará x Altos

At Castelão, Ceará were tied with Altos, from Piauí, 1-1. The result leaves Vozão with four points, in fourth place in Group A. Altos is left with two points and takes sixth place in Group B .

In the 16th minute of the second half, Matheus Taumaturgo received the ball and finished from outside the area to open the scoring for the visitors. In stoppage time, Ceará had one more player left, after Dhonata was sent off for an elbow. In the 53rd minute, Erick Pulga took advantage of a rebound and tied the game with the last shot.

Ceará returns to the field this Wednesday, against Náutico, in the third round of the Copa do Nordeste, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time). Altos faces Maranhão, also on Wednesday, at 7 pm, for the same championship.

CRB x Fortaleza

In Alagoas, at the Rei Pelé stadium, CRB defeated Fortaleza 1-0. The victory leaves the team from Alagoas at the top of Group A, with six points. Fortaleza drops to second place in Group B, with three points.

Anselmo Ramon scored the goal of the match, 50 minutes into the first half. In a counterattack very well designed by the home team, Ramon received the ball and hit a cross, with no chance for the goalkeeper.

CRB’s next game is this Thursday, at 7 pm, against Treze, in the third round of the Copa do Nordeste. Still in the tournament, Fortaleza will face River-PI, on Wednesday, at 7 pm.
