World Turner Syndrome Day is commemorated every August 28 and there are several celebrities on the list of patients.

First, the Ministry of Health (SSa) describes this condition as a genetic alteration that occurs only in women. The main characteristic of this condition is that it produces a short stature in patients although it is not the only one. It also causes the lack of menstruation, multiple moles, eye problems, high palate, small jaw, low hairline, short and wide neck, broad chest, swelling of hands and/or feet (lymphedema).
The diagnosis can be made in the prenatal stage or during childhood; however, on some occasions its detection is late until adolescence when girls have short stature or delayed puberty.
