Night, street, lamp, corpse. A maniac roams neon Moscow and hunts beautiful girls. Anyone can be the killer. For example, a taxi driver. Such as Sasha (Yura Borisov is one of the most sought-after young actors; he played in T-34, Silver Skates, Epidemics). Sasha lives alone, works only at night, a racer from God. God’s pretender. You never know what’s on his mind and what he really is. With one client like a simpleton, shirt-guy. And with the beautiful Liza (Anastasia Talyzina – the star of the sitcom “Patriot”) such a slightly romantic hero. Liza has a lot to do that night, and she hires Sasha to take her to the addresses – although she sees her for the first time in her life. The city falls asleep again, the maniac wakes up.

It’s not that there are much more good Russian thrillers than good Russian action films, and it’s all the more surprising to meet Centaur this summer – an excellent half-thriller-semi-action movie without discounts (co-produced by ID Production, Planeta Inform, Versus Pictures and Okko video service). Stylish, intense, and this, by the way, is only the second film directed by Kirill Chemnitz – the first was the black comedy “Zombie Vacation” in 2013 with Yulia Volkova from Tatu. Beyond the first 15 minutes, the plot is impossible to retell without the risk of giving away an important twist. Little can be said without fear. The action takes place over the course of one night and does not often leave the salon of Sasha’s taxi. A serial killer is really operating in Moscow, whose identity is one of the main intrigues of the film. Finally, all the key characters are not who they say they are.
