Central government rejects Tamil Nadu vehicle – Dinamani

The Central Government has rejected the Tamil Nadu decorative vehicle participating in the Republic Day parade in Delhi.

Vehicles with pictures of freedom fighters will be featured in the annual Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations in Delhi.

In this situation, the Central Government has rejected the decorative vehicle of Tamil Nadu which includes W. U. Chidambaranar, Velunacharya and Bharathiar.

The federal government has reportedly said it expects the most popular freedom fighters and rejected those like WAC and Velunacharya because international leaders do not know them.

Also, for the southern states, vehicles from states other than Karnataka, including Kerala and Andhra Pradesh, have been rejected.

Earlier, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had written a letter to the Prime Minister protesting against the Central Government’s rejection of a West Bengal vehicle carrying pictures of leaders, including Subhash Chandra Bose.
