jpnn.comJAKARTA – Young musician and son of singer Charly van Houten, Restu has just launched his first mini album or EP entitled 5 Diri.
The title represents the five different packages in the 5 Selves. Five themes, five personalities, and five songs with different stories.
In working on the mini album 5 Diri, Restu was assisted by several musicians such as Rafi Sumantri alias Rafi Gimbal and Ivan Dewanto as producers.
In terms of lyrics, Restu generally wrote the songs on the album himself.
All the songs produced started from the workshop he and Rafi Gimbal did in Puncak, West Java, in the middle of last year.
There are five songs on the mini album 5 Diri from Restu, namely Lady Pujaan, Lirih, Father and Mother, and Me, My Heart for You Mati.
“Pujaan Woman, originally a reggae song created by guitarist Rafi Gimbal for my father. I also helped add the chorus. Long story short, Rafi and my father created new song material. Finally, I saved this song and made it into my work,” said Restu, Tuesday ( 7/5).
Furthermore, Lirih is a very emotional song for the 19 year old man.
