ChatGPT resumed work in Italy after blocking – Kommersant

In Italy, a month after the blocking, the ChatGPT chat bot of the American company OpenAI resumed operation. This was reported to Reuters by a company representative.

An OpenAI spokesperson explained that the block was lifted after the company “clarified and responded” to claims from the Italian data protection authority.

On March 31, the Italian regulator temporarily restricted the use of ChatGPT. OpenAI was given 20 days to report on the protection of users’ personal data. After the blocking was lifted, OpenAI promised to better inform users about the terms of use of the chatbot.
