Chennai: In Chennai, the price of 22 carat jewelery touched a new high of Rs 54,440 per pound, down by Rs 200 per pound on Saturday.
Gold prices have been making new records since April. Gold prices hit a fresh high of Rs 640 a pound on Friday to trade at Rs 54,440.
Meanwhile, gold prices in Chennai fell by 200 per pound on Saturday (April 13).
Accordingly, the price of gold decreased by Rs.25 to Rs.6,780 per gram and Rs.200 per pound to Rs.54,240.
Similarly, silver prices have fallen slightly. Accordingly, silver fell by Rs 1 to Rs 89 per gram and a kg (solid silver) fell by Rs 1,000 to Rs 89,000.
