Heavy Rain Expected in 6 Districts of Tamil Nadu Today: Chennai Meteorological Center

The Chennai Meteorological Center has issued a warning for heavy rain in several districts of Tamil Nadu. According to the center, a low pressure area has formed in the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman Seas, leading to the prediction of heavy rain in six districts.

The districts likely to be affected by very heavy rain are Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Puduvai, and Karaikal. In addition, eight other districts, including Pudukottai, Trichy, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Kallakurichi, Thiruvannamalai, Chengalpattu, and Kanchipuram, are expected to receive heavy rain.

The Chennai Meteorological Center has also predicted heavy rain in specific areas within the next three hours. These areas include Chennai’s Pallavaram, Alandur, Nitakarai, Ayanavaram, and several others.
