Wadud Rahman Shaon, convener of Dhaka International University branch of Jatiyatavadi Chhatra Dal, died in a road accident at 3 am on Sunday (February 25) after being seriously injured in a paralyzing hospital in the capital. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep grief and sorrow in this incident.
In a condolence message on Monday (February 26), BNP Secretary General said, I am deeply saddened by the death of Wadud Rahman Shawon in a road accident, like his family and relatives. Wadud Rahman Shawon has played a strong role in organizing and strengthening the Dhaka International University branch of Nationalist Chhatra Dal by keeping the principles and ideals of former President Shahid Ziaur Rahman and the Bangladeshi nationalist philosophy.
He said that his courageous role in the democratic movement-struggle under the leadership of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will be an inspiration among his teammates. I pray that Almighty Allah grant him Jannat Nasib and the bereaved family members the strength to be patient.
The General Secretary of BNP prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members and relatives.
