Notably, authorities confirmed that no incidents qualified as mass shootings, defined as events involving four or more people shot.

the weekend’s violence included a separate incident involving a U.S. Border Patrol agent, where 30-year-old Marimar Martinez was shot after allegedly ramming a federal vehicle and driving toward the agent in Brighton Park. Officials confirmed Martinez has been released from the hospital and is now in federal custody facing charges of assaulting a federal officer.
