Chennai: Chief Minister Stalin inspected the flood damage in Chennai, Kanchipuram district.
Tamil Nadu received unprecedented heavy rains for a month last month due to the northeast monsoon and low pressure. Various parts of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Kanyakumari, Nagapattinam and Thanjavur were affected by the floods.
Chief Minister Stalin has been visiting various districts since Nov. 7 to inspect the rehabilitation work and provide relief assistance to the affected people.
Thereafter, Mauliwakkam inspected the flood water inflow of rain water caused by heavy rains in the Porur Lake surplus water canal in the Mangadu tunnel area. Ayyappanthangal, Paraniputhur Road area, provided food and relief items to the people affected by the monsoon floods. Asked the public about rain impacts and needs.
