Cinema attendance regains color and exceeds its pre-Covid level

Monthly cinema attendance exceeded for the first time in April its levels before the health crisis in France, with 19.01 million spectators in theaters, announced the National Center for Cinematography (CNC). Attendance is up 37.8% compared to April 2022, and 2.7% compared to the 2017-2019 average, according to these figures. Since the beginning of the year, attendance has increased by a total of a third compared to last year but remains down 14% compared to pre-pandemic years.
