Storm Kirk is currently hitting France, bringing its share of rain. In the decades to come we will have to get used to it: rainfall phenomena will be increasingly extreme. In fact, heat spikes and droughts are not the only effects of global warming. “According to the laws of physics, one additional degree creates 7% more water vapor in the atmosphere. We will therefore witness intense and increasingly regular rainfall phenomena. assures Maryvonne Kerdoncuff, deputy director of Climatology and Climate Services at Météo-France.
However, these climate projections describe different scenarios depending on the cities and regions of France. To understand how rainfall will evolve in our country, we analyzed the simulations of various climatology laboratories, compiled by Météo-France researchers.
