Famous French automobile company Citroen has now introduced a new variant in its line-up of its only electric car sold in India, the eC3. Recently, the company has launched the new Shine variant (Citroen eC3 Shine) in India as a top-specs car of the eC3.
Ex-showroom prices of the new eC3 Shine electric car start at Rs 13.20 lakh and go up to Rs 13.50 lakh. Citroen’s new eC3 Shine is a tough competition from Tata’s Tiago EV, which is available in almost the same price range. The recently launched Shine variant of the eC3 comes with a host of features including electrically adjustable wing mirrors, rear parking camera and stylish 15-inch diamond-cut dual-tone alloy wheels, rear wiper and washer. Features include Goodlock front and rear faux skid plates and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The Shine variant of the eC3 electric hatchback comes equipped with the MyCitroen Connect app, which offers 35 smart connectivity features. It has a 4-speaker audio system and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. This new Shine variant gets the same vibe back and dual-tone exterior finishes as the E-C3 Feel trim of the eC3. While these updates make the eC3 electric car more competitive in the market, the eC3 faces tough competition from the Tiago EV as already mentioned.

Because its price is ex-showroom Rs. 12.04 lakhs. The Tiago EV comes with additional features like cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, power tailgate, cooled glove box and auto-dimming IRVM, even though it is priced lower than the eC3 Shine. Meanwhile, for the eC3 Shine variant, French automaker Citroen is offering a 7-year/1,40,000 km warranty on its battery pack, a 5-year/1,00,000 km warranty on its electric motor and a 3-year/1,25,000 km warranty on the electric hatchback. Additionally the company also offers various extended warranty options for the car, electric motor and battery.

The eC3 meanwhile has a 29.2kWh battery pack with an electric motor that produces 56bhp of power and 143Nm of peak torque. This model can accelerate from 0-60 km in 6.8 seconds and can go up to 320 km on a single full charge. Notably, the eC3 can be driven at a top speed of 107 kmph.
