Five people, including a two-year-old child, were killed in Ukraine by Russian shelling. The governor said that the attack was on the population center of the city of Slovansky in the eastern Donbass region. He also informed that 15 people were injured in the attack. Five houses and five flats were destroyed in the shelling. Governor Pavlo Kirilenko said businesses and shops were damaged and seven people were missing and suspected to be trapped in the rubble.
He added that rescue operations were underway at the site and that the attack was carried out using S-300 missiles. President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the brutal attack. “Killing people in broad daylight, destroying the entire life of the country. Russia’s evil regime has once again demonstrated its true nature,” he wrote in a telegram.
