Coimbatore Lok Sabha Constituency: DMK, AIADMK, BJP and Naam Tamil Party Candidates Gear Up for Intense Campaigning

Coimbatore: In the Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency, the election field is heating up as DMK, AIADMK, BJP and Naam Tamil Party candidates have started campaigning.

Coimbatore Lok Sabha Constituency consists of Singanallur, Coimbatore South, Coimbatore North, Sulur, Goundampalayam, Palladam. There are 20.83 lakh voters here. In the elections held so far, the Congress party has won 5 times and the Indian Commune. 5 times, the Marxist Commun. 3 times, DMK won 2 times, BJP 2 times and AIADMK once.

In the current election, the candidates for the Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency are Ganapathi P. Rajkumar from the DMK alliance, Singhai G. Ramachandran from the AIADMK alliance, Annamalai from the BJP alliance and Kalamani Jaganathan from the Naam Tamilar party. On the day the DMK candidate was announced, the party started campaigning by writing his name on wall advertisements.

The next day, DMK candidate Rajkumar is carrying out his campaign by holding a candidate introduction meeting with the responsible ministers and party officials and holding assembly-wise functionary meetings. They have also intensified their door-to-door campaign.

The main opposition AIADMK held a candidate briefing yesterday. Through it, candidate Singhai G. Ramachandran started his campaign. Being the IT department administrator, his department has intensified the campaign on social media.

Before Annamalai was announced as the BJP’s candidate for state president, Prime Minister Modi held a motor rally for him in Coimbatore. After being announced as a candidate, he had darshan of Annamalai Swamy yesterday at Chittabudur Ayyappan temple. Ayyappan started his campaign after lighting a lamp in front of the shrine.

Kalamani Jaganathan, who was announced as the candidate of Nam Tamilar Party’s Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency ahead of other parties, has been campaigning by handing out pamphlets of the party door to door. Campaigning is expected to heat up after the filing of political party candidates
