jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Domestic Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) is collaborating with the think tank organization Koso Nippon to encourage the implementation of program reviews in the regions.

Program review is a new method for evaluating programs or activities that have been implemented by regional governments (Pemda) by involving the community directly as program recipients.

The results of the evaluation can later be used as material for consideration in preparing the government’s work plan for the following year.

This was stated directly by the Daily Executive (Plh) Head of the Center for Policy Strategy (Pustrajakan) for Regional, Population and Public Services (KKPP) BSKDN Faisal Syarif when representing the Head of BSKDN in the Socialization of Support for Policy Evaluation in the Domestic Government Sector through the Implementation of Program Reviews.

“Through this program review, the public is given the freedom to express opinions directly on the programs or activities that have been implemented,” said Faisal at The Acacia Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday (23/4/2024).

He said that implementing program reviews really helped his party to find various new problems related to the implementation of government programs in the field.

Faisal hopes that the program review can provide new knowledge to BSKDN in terms of evaluating regional government administration.

“In the future, we hope that this program (review) can be implemented in all regional governments, so that all regional governments can carry out evaluations independently,” he explained.
